If I remember correctly, weren't there a lot of QC issues? I didn't know enough at the time to know if it was anything special. Honestly before I spent that on a Guild I would happily have Dansan or Cquadro build me a custom replica. The pickups were by DiMarzio, with black covers and the tremolo system was a Kahler unit. That's what they specialize in and the improvements in design and hardware and pickups over the past 10 years are very significant.
