We both loved every minute of our stay, the staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble, if you need anything just ask. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, and had two double rooms, the cost was £390 over all, and I thought that was good value for money, the rooms are well equipped with everything you need, inc coffee and tea maker, electric shower ( no bath ) the rooms are large, and the beds are very comfortable, and the view of the castle from my room window was nice. Very impressed with the spa facilities. Helmsley is a lovely market town with plenty to see and do. This holiday home offers a garden. Great location and lovely hosts and rooms. The area is perfect for visiting local attractions like York, Whitby and Castle Howard which we visited whilst staying at the Black Swan in the town square. Lovely central location and parking no problem - if their carpark is full there is always plenty of free places just round the corner.
