One of the main plot points in RE6 was Sherry having the G Virus. doesnt help all the 2nd run scenario is on the remake is just a altenative starting point and random item locations other than that its the same game. Best thing for Capcom games is to not think too much about the stories. That’s where Claire A / Leon B comes most likely comes from.

Everyone please take time to review the subreddit rules Tl:dr. Dont be jerk to each other,. Flair your posts How to flair your posts.. Claire A/Leon B is the canon scenario. Not to discount Leon, though -- but I totally get vibes that Claire dealt with William most of the time and got fed up with his shit and decided to engage in that final fight. All rights reserved. But then again, even A and B are kind of overlapping themselves in impossible or unlikely way, hence my original question. The stories in the sequels pretty much consider that, so I'm guessing the same will be true with the remakes. I've read a lot people saying that Claire A/Leon B is canon but then, why do they always show promotional material from Leon A campaign? What advantages does this version have over the dualshock version, if any? Not so loose that it's unimportant, quite the opposite actually, but events are often generally or broadly referenced, with detailed specifics being of less importance overall. Until Resident Evil 6 gets remade it's still classic Clarie A/Leon B as the official canon. Considering Resident Evil 2 ’s status as an amazing game with a convoluted (in a good way) story, fans were eager to see a remake bring it to life. I've heard that ClaireA/LeonB is considered the canonical storyline.
Claire A/Leon B is the canon scenario.
She only gets the G Virus in Claire A of the original game. I'm pretty sure Resident Evil 6 confirms this. For Resident Evil 2 on the PlayStation 4, a GameFAQs message board topic titled "Are ghost survivers canon". Official canon means nothing since we are talking about a fictional story that didn't happen. Claire was able to make a vaccine for her towards the end of the game that cured Sherry before the G embryos pupate. Director's Commentary-Kamiya comments on a playthrough. The canon order of RE2 is Claire A/Leon B because of Darkside Chronicles (or at least is retelling of 2) and 6, but honestly, you could easily play through both variations of the scenarios to get the full experience.

X doesn't chase Claire/Sherry into the elevator it's just Birkin so X doesn't die there. The original game didn't have this problem. Can anyone match what's outlined in Vincent's 1:15 speed FAQ? Just from playing, I assumed certain parts of Leon A/ Claire B or vise versa are canon. If it's the latter, then either one works just fine for the rest of the universe's story. Just like the original game, details from both routes are canon.
In Claire A, Sherry was infected with the G-Virus by Birkin in the sewers. Darkside Chronicles I believe follows Leon B scenario, as well as Wesker’s Report.
