Dynamic Nemesis encounters only happen during the Downtown section of the game, and depending on what order you do things in, you can limit your exposure to Nemesis encounters. Again, do not try to fight him but just run past him. Almost no room to maneuver around and he comes charging in at you. If you hesitate after Nemesis explodes on the scene, make sure to use your dodge button otherwise Nemesis will knock you senseless. Once he’s awake, he will begin chase again. This is triggered when Nemesis blows up the subway train and Jill and Carlos are on foot. The final battle is more of a puzzle fight and the ground work is simple, but it’s judging Nemesis’ attack that holds you up.
More forward in the alleyway that leads to the backdoor of Bar Jack, you'll find out that the civilian is already dead, being devoured by two zombies. A cutscene will trigger as Jill talks to Carlos. This will trigger the end of the encounter.
Going to the playground, you'll see Brad Vickers, a former pilot of the Special Tactics and Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S. Take your favorite fandoms with you and never miss a beat. The last attack is a double pump handle that includes a pattern. and the scream is abruptly interrupted.
As soon as you shoot the last blob, choose one of the power capsules and run up to it. Run down the stairs and to the right alley in front of the cafe where the stairs are located. This is triggered by three quick time events. Only the first half of the game feature survivor encounters, and the only two of them who feature civilians are not long from the game begin. If he grabs you, it’s massive damage time, so avoid at all costs while unloading everything you have into him until he drops. There are flame rounds along with pistol ammo and a red herb in a crate on the south end of the area. Nemesis will make his first appearance after supplying power back to the subway station. Entering the grate will put you in the sewer so once you land, run to the door and this will trigger a cutscene that ends the encounter. I selected City Hall because it scared the bloody heck out of me when I saw Nemesis at the end of the path charging for me. On the north side are pistol and shotgun ammo along with a breakable crate with more ammo. It usually takes about three seconds to launch the rocket. He will either come on arm at a time from the left or the right and the swing covers 3/4 of the area. If you choose this route, there’s a transformer on the left that you can shoot to zap him. Also, if you left any zombies up ahead, make sure to dodge them. There’s an initial corridor run, but it doesn’t last long. Once he begins running, it’s time to gear up with what is in the area.
There are eight different transformers and each transformer has either one or two orange buttons on the front. UBCS mercenary Carlos Oliveira's very first appearance during the game's survivor encounter. There’s also another save area at the top. Either dodge or shotgun the zombie and avoid the rest. At the start of this battle, he won’t do much except for a slow walk while shooting streams of flames at you. Once it stops keep running and Nemesis will plop down on a cop car. You will reach the rooftop and Nemesis is armed with a flamethrower. As soon as Jill rendezvous with Carlos and the U.S.B.C. Upon finishing Carlos’ run through the police station, Jill relays the events of what happened in the subway to Carlos. If you lay one in his path while he’s running, he’ll come flying off the side and expose his pink thing for you to shoot at. Much later in the game, Nemesis is starting to get much more feral, more dog-like in his form. This fight is similar to the previous fight but there are a few different variables. There are zombies on the roof if they were not cleared previously. The handgun is good for hitting the tiny Nemesis head since it holds a lot of ammo and it’s fast. It wouldn’t be surprising. Is it possible to defeat Nemesis on your first encounter? There’s no need to return to the area so do not waste any ammo. Missiles should safely fly by.
