So in the Dawnguard DLC, it is suggested that the last of the snow elfs Knight Paladin Gelebor and his brother have been around for a few thousand years.
It will not show up in your inventory, but you will see that you are wearing it and it has an armor rating of 135 (I assume depending on skills).
