On the other hand prior to surgery it was discussed with me that a chemical to be used most likely would not be covered by insurance I signed a form stating it could cost me $2-3k out of pocket as a self pay negotiated rate. I had issues and became frustrated with trying to get someone to return my phone calls. Thankfully, VVMC was able to fit me in same day. Complication after complication ensued all because of the arrogance of a local ortho surgeon who didn't want the help of someone more experienced...which they have here!! The staff ismjustbfantastic.

We arrived at the hospital where a receptionist administered the test and we  are gone in 3 minutes.

Although I have been generally satisfied with VVMC, I think they're spreading themselves too thin to be able to offer the patient care they used to by overbooking like crazy.
